I love the little realistic details in haikyuu that other anime tend not to have? Like Ukai wears earrings, but he takes them out when he’s coaching. Kenma’s roots are showing. Characters sometimes have different hair in flashbacks (ukai, nishinoya, kenma). Asahi changes how he wears his hair. Nishinoya is shown with his hair down, instead of it being implied that his hair sticks up like that naturally. They’re inconsequential details for the most part, but I appreciate them.
